User Profile
This simple canvas helps teams collect and organize important information about the types of people they're designing for. Similar to but simpler than most persona frameworks, this User Profile is great for product teams, startups, designers, and researchers.
How to use it:
Identify who you'll be completing the profile for. Consider a range of reference points like titles, responsibilities, roles, names, etc. — and don't forget more non-obvious, outcome-oriented descriptive themes — e.g., "department leaders in charge of product performance" — that are shared across formal roles.
Motivations are what drive this profile toward their Goals. Make sure to pull these from research and state them from the profile's perspective.
Briefly, Pains are complications and negative outcomes they have to deal with; Gains are benefits and positive outcomes they expect or would be delight with. These might be pulled from your Value Proposition Canvas if you have one.
A Need is anything this profile needs in order to accomplish their Goal. It can help to break down a Goal into component parts or steps in a workflow.
Goals are what this profile intends to accomplish. This might include milestones, status, metrics, etc.
Based on the discoveries and decisions on this canvas, you can apply specific details to other documents:

Tip: Capture more information and details than those directly related to the product or service you provide. This will help you form a more accurate picture of the profile and help generate more ideas.
