Assumption Mapping Workshop

Report

Assumption mapping is a method to systematically identify, categorize and prioritize uncertain assumptions. This method is often facilitated in a workshop format and helps teams to uncover, discuss and work on uncertainties in a structured manner.

The two axes show how important an assumption is and how much research has already been done in the area. By visually representing assumptions on a map, risks can be better assessed and controlled. The risk of complete assumptions should first be tracked by setting up a test set-up, a.k.a. an experiment.
